I haven't posted anything on my blog for TWO months! But sadly, the weather is still the same! We've had an eventful winter with Bentley and Adrea's marriage in February, Valentine's Day, Olivia's school events, and plenty of Isaac mishaps! Here are a few photos of the last couple of months. I'll try and do better with postings. HAPPY SPRING!!
My nephew BENTLEY (Jason's oldest) AND ADREA (Stein, from Logan) were married in the Logan Temple on February 6, 2009! They are a stunning couple. Adrea is a doll! She looks like Belle! We thought she should have been on a float, waving to a huge crowd--she is so beautiful! We are so excited to have her in our family! The first married nephew!! WOW! They are living in NY so Bentley can go to school and continue working for JetBlue. Adrea is a fabulous cook, singer, actress, seamstress, musician...and is half way done with school at the Y. She'll be taking courses correspondence until she transfers or maybe the church can build a BYU-NYC :o)
Two things I loved that you don't see at every wedding: (1) Their cake was AMAZING! It smelled SO good and looked DELICIOUS!! and (2) Adrea wore Moon Boots!! She's a true Logan girl! Talk about sensible shoes!! It was only about 16 degrees!
Bentley and his sisters: Morgan (16), Carley (14), and Heather (5). We missed Spencer (19) being there--but serving a mission is a great reason to miss your brother's wedding! And Griffin (3) wouldn't let us take his picture!! Too shy!
Valentine's Day Breakfast! I made yummy ebelskivers with my new Ebelskiver pan! Thanks Steff! And everyone got books and chocolate! What else is there?? :o)
Olivia keeps busy with piano and sewing. She had her recital for parents one week and Federation at the U the next week.
Lyndsay Clark was in her same session at Federation! That was so fun for both girls to hear each other play! They both played fabulously!! They have an amazing piano teacher who works so hard for all her students!! Thanks Ellen! We were so happy for the girls! They both did such a great job! They were proud of themselves and cannot wait for NEW songs!! :o) (after practicing their recital pieces for about 4 months!)
Olivia had AFRICA DANCE DAY at school with all the 2nd graders. Each class had a different country in Africa. Olivia's class' dance focused on Egypt. She was into it!! Here she is with her friend Sarah. We love Mrs. Phillips too!
Then the class did biographies on famous Americans. Olivia studied Samuel Morse who invented Morse Code. Her class had a "Wax Museum" and everyone dressed up as their famous American. It was great fun for all! Christopher S. was A.A. Milne.
Isaac is still naughty. He gets out of the tub and loads it with as many towels as he can find in the room... or toilet paper...or the entire basket of magazines! But he does love to help Kent around the house with little projects!! He's very busy being TWO!
Isaac is sleeping in a toddler bed now (thanks Teri and Kate), which is finally a good thing, after 4 rough nights getting him used to his new found freedom. But the saddest part about a new bed is that his 3 hour afternoon naps are GONE! And his favorite treat is air-popped popcorn. He LOVES it! It's a staple in his diet! :o)
